The Town Mayor of Winsford, Councillor Ernie Welch is proud to announce that he will be holding a very special ‘Oskars Awards Evening’ at the Meadow Bank Social Club on Saturday 13th April 2024 to recognise the achievements of local people.

Nominations are now being sought for the following categories Volunteer of the Year; Teacher of the Year; Community Group of the Year; Carer of the Year; Uniformed Services Worker of the Year; Young Person of the Year; Neighbour of the Year; The Golden Award , i.e.  An individual, a couple, a charity, a business that has made an outstanding contribution to Winsford or residents celebrating a 50th birthday/anniversary in 2024; The Mayor’s Award and the Walk of Contribution Award  – can you complete and return the application form on or before Wednesday 20th March at 5:00 pm.

    To Qualify Resident nominees must: 1) Live in the parish of Winsford. 2) Not currently hold public office, or have been a candidate in the past 10 years. Business nominees must: 1) Operate in the parish of Winsford. 2) Have their registered office in Winsford, if applicable.
