Introduction

Winsford Town Council invites suitably qualified contractors to undertake refurbishments and work on the town centre toilets, located at Unit 19, Dingle Walk, Winsford Cross Shopping Centre CW7 1BA. Details of the work below.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• All works to comply with current Building Regulations and good trade practice.
• Contractor to verify all dimensions on site.
• All defective materials removed from site and disposed of responsibly.
• Electrical/mechanical work carried out by qualified, competent contractors.
• Works relate solely to the internal toilet areas, as per the survey scope
  
  ELECTRICAL WORKS
  Lighting
• Investigate and repair/replace all non‑functioning ceiling lights.
   
  Extract Ventilation
• Test and reinstate all non‑operational extract fans.
   
  Electrical Panel Heaters
• Replace or repair heaters with rusting casings and missing control covers.
• Electrical Safety
• Secure loose electrical fittings, including switches.
   
  JOINERY & CARPENTRY WORKS
  Timber Cabinets and Sink Units
• Remove all rotten, damp, or damaged timber units.
• Supply and install new moisture‑resistant units.
   
  Internal Doors
• Repair or replace doors that do not close properly.
• Remove screws from doors that have been fixed shut and reinstate operation.
• Install new door handles and locks where missing or damaged
  
  PLUMBING & SANITARYWARE
  WC Pans and Seats
• Replace missing or damaged WC seats and covers.
   
  Sinks and Taps
• Install replacement sink where missing.
• Replace taps with missing caps and repair dripping taps.
  
  Resealing
• Reseal around all WC bases and sanitary fittings.

WALLS, FLOORS & CEILINGS

Ceilings

• Replace damaged or missing suspended ceiling tiles.
   
  Walls
• Repair holes in walls and replace missing tiles.
• Prepare and redecorate walls where paint is flaking.
   
  Floors
• Clean, repair or replace flooring where stained or damaged.
   
  FIXTURES & FITTINGS
  Soap Dispensers
• Install new soap dispensers, where missing.
   
  Hand Dryers
• Supply and install new electric hand dryers.
   
  DECORATION
• Prepare and redecorate all internal surfaces following repairs.
• Use moisture‑resistant paint suitable for high‑humidity environments.
  
  COMPLIANCE & TESTING
• Full electrical test and certification following works.
• Full plumbing functionality test.
• Ensure all fittings comply with accessibility requirements where applicable.
